CMR Under Construction

The Children's Museum of Rochester hopes to open its doors by the end of 2010.  But in the meantime, the organization has created its first exhibit which will be located in the ARTiKids area at Mayo Park. An interactive playhouse dubbed "CMR Under Construction", children can learn about construction by having hands-on opportunities that include laying carpeting, hanging siding, painting the exterior, and connecting circuits to make a doorbell ring.  With this exhibit, which is large enough to accommodate a dozen or more children at a time, the Children's Museum of Rochester is laying the foundation and spreading the enthusiasm for the first-ever Children's Museum of Rochester.
