March 11:
Women in the Performing Arts
Rochester has the good fortune of having an abundance of talented women working in the performing arts. But does it come at a price? The opportunities available to these artists carry challenges the creative woman must face while she seeks to balance her personal aspirations and her day-to-day commitments. Area women talk about the difficulties encountered, the support and gratification received, and an intensified sense of empowerment developed as they pursue their artistic goals.
